The Flock is an asymmetrical multiplayer thriller game, where each player starts out as one of the titular monsters called the Flock. Your goal is to find and grab the coveted Light Artifact before an other player does. The first player who grabs the Artifact transforms into the Carrier, a smaller, slower, more human like being. That player has to hold on to the Artifact for as long as possible, whilst fending off Flock that try to gain the Artifact for themselves. If the Carrier is attacked by one the Flock, the attacking player becomes the new Carrier.
The game garnered a lot of press attention, and also won the 2013 Dutch Game Award for 'Best Student Game'.
I started out as a programmer on the team. Later in the project I picked up marketing and business duties. I was responsible for coordinating events and showcases, and I did press work on the side.
